Reference Guidelines

  1. You have been asked by the nominator of a nominee to serve as a reference.
  2. You will find all the nominees for which you have been selected to be a reference on your dashboard under “My Outstanding References”.
  3. When you click on the “View Nomination” button for a nominee you will be led to the nomination form that the nominator filled out.
  4. When you click on the “Complete Reference” button for a nominee you will be led into a reference form that you will need to fill out.
  5. You have to fill out the reference form by a designated deadline. This is the deadline that was sent to you by the system and also shown on the dashboard.
  6. The reference is restricted to 2 pages. You will not have the option to save the reference form. Once you submit the reference form you cannot further edit it.
  7. After the reference form is submitted you will receive a confirmation email and the “Complete Reference” button will be removed from the dashboard.
  8. We suggest, out of courtesy, to notify the nominator when you have completed the reference form for the nominee.
  9. Note, that the reference form is confidential and as a result the nominator cannot see it.  The ASEMFL Membership Committee members can see both the nomination forms and the reference forms so they can make an educated decision about the nominee’s induction into ASEMFL.
