Munir Humayun is a professor of Geochemistry and the Director of the Center for Rare Earth Elements, Critical Minerals, and Industrial Byproducts located at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, Florida State University. He is an elected Fellow of the Meteoritical Society.
