A long-standing dream of AI researchers has been the development of a system capable of performing scientific research. The increase in reasoning capabilities brought on by so-called "agentic" reasoning makes this feasible. But less discussed is how this advance may democratize access not only to the products of science, but to scientific reasoning itself. I discuss the advancements in this area and examine implications.
