The UCF Disability, Aging and Technology (DAT) Cluster’s mission is to help people with disabilities and older adults lead healthier and stronger lives by informing policy and innovating technologies to help them move better and smarter. The cluster has ~30 faculty members across 7 colleges and 11 departments, and over 150 students who engage in research related to disability, aging, and technology. By merging expertise in engineering, computer science, nursing, kinesiology, psychology, informatics, data science, and hospitality, the DAT cluster takes a transdisciplinary research approach to enhancing aging in place. This talk will highlight a few of the on-going DAT projects that involve technology development, education programs, and community focused research for holistic aging in place.
